Raspberry Icecream


 It is winter time in Australia, so ice cream recipe is for those on northern hemisphere, where is raspberry season and summer time. 

Ingredients:
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/2 teaspoon vanilla 
400 ml thickened cream
1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
2 tbs raspberry jam (optional)

Method:
Beat egg, sugar and milk, until sugar melted. add cream and continue beating. Mix in raspberries and jam. Place in freezer; take out every 30 minutes to mix. This will prevent forming large crystals in icecream. Enjoy after a few hours.


Sladoled sa Malinama

U Australiji je zimski period, tako da ovaj recept namjenjujem citaocima na sjevernoj polulopti, gdje je sezona malina i ljeto u jeku. 

Potrebno:
1/2 solje mlijeka
1/2 solje secera
1 jaje, umuceno
400 ml slatkog vrhnja
1 solja svjezih ili smrznutih malina
2 K dzema od malina (opciono)

Nacin:
Mutite jaje, secer i mlijeko dok se secer ne otopi. Dodajte vrhnje pa nastavite mutiti. Umijesajte maline i dzem i stavite u zamrzivac. Vadite svakih 30-ak minuta i promijesajte, kako se ne bi preveliki kristali pravili. Uzivajte nakon nekoliko sati.

Mango Icecream


I have a nasty cut - a part of my (index) finger nail and some skin is missing - it never happened to me before...so, I suppose there is first time for everything. No slicing / cooking for me for the next  few days; this recipe is coming  from (long waiting) draft. 3 ingredients, no cooking, great taste (almost identical with Weiss mango icecream bar)

Ingredients:
2 large very ripe mangoes
1 cup thickened cream (whipping cream 35% fat)
1/4 cup plain thick yoghurt 
Method:
Blend / process mango flesh until smooth. Beat cream, add yoghurt and mango puree (if not sweet enough, you can add sugar - I didn't add any). Mix well, then place in freezer. Take out every 30 minutes (for next 2-3 hours) and stir / mix really well (to prevent forming large ice crystals). Serve when solid enough.



Mango Sladoled

Dobila sam zlobnu posjekotinu - dio nokta i nesto koze na mom kaziprstu nedostaje - pretpostavljam da postoji 'prvi put' za sve u zivotu . Sljedecih nekoliko dana nema sjeckanja i kuhanja za mene. 
Ovaj recept je iz 'drafta'...ceka jako dugo!  3 sastojka, bez kuhanja i odlicno ukusa (podsjeca na Weiss mango sladoled)

Potrebno:
2 velika zrela manga
1 solja slatke pavlake (35% masnoce)
1/4 solje gustog jogurta
Nacin:
Ispasirajte mango. Umutite pavlaku, dodajte jogurt i mango (ako nije dovoljno slatko, mozete dodati secera - Ja nisam). Izmijesajte dobro, pa smjestite u zamrzivac. Svakih 30 minuta (u naredna 2-3 sata) izvadite i dobro promijesajte, kako bi sprijecili formiranje vecih kristala leda. Servirajte kada je dovoljno stegnuto.

Homemade Green Tea Icecream



It is 43*C today in my place...I'm sitting in my (airconditioned) living room, watching Wozniacki - Kuznetsova fighting in the heat and enjoying my home-made icecream...I really love sports!

Ingredients:
2 cups milk
200 ml double cream
3 egg yolks
100 g sugar
1 tbs green tea (matcha) powder
Method:
In a small bowl, mix the green tea powder with 2 tablespoons sugar.
In a separate bowl, mix together the egg yolks and remaining sugar.
Pour the milk into a small pan, heat it; don't to let it boil. Remove from the heat and mix a few spoonfuls of the warm milk with the green tea powder and sugar in a small bowl. When you have a smooth paste, strain and add it to the remaining milk in the pan, then gradually combine with the egg yolk mixture.
Return mixture to the stove and heat slowly over low heat (taking care to not let the mixture boil), until the mixture gets slightly thick and coats the back of a spoon. Remove from the heat and allow to cool completely.
Lightly whip the cream and then add it to the cold green tea-milk mixture.
Transfer the mixture to a large container and (chill for an hour or two in the fridge) and then put it in the freezer. As ice crystals start to form, remove, and mix well with a fork (or mixer) to break them up and return the mixture to the freezer. Repeat this a few times (every 15-20 min) as it freezes to ensure that the ice cream is smooth.
Enjoy after 4-5 hours, or when frozen.


Sladoled od (praha) Zelenog Čaja

Danas je 43*C u mom mjestu...Sjedim u mojoj (klimatiziranoj) dnevnoj sobi, gledam Wozniacki i Kuznetsovu kako se bore na ovoj vrelini i uzivam u domacem sladoledu od matcha caja...Ah, sto volim sport!

Potrebno:
2 solje mlijeka
200 ml duplog vrhnja (45-50%masnoce)
3 zumanca
100 gr secera
1 K matcha caja (prah)
Nacin:
U manju posudu pomijesajte matcha sa 2 K secera.
U drugu posudu izmiksajte jaja sa secerom.
Zagrijte mlijeko, ali nedajte da prokljuca. Smaknite s vatre, uspite par kasika mlijeka u matcha mjesavinu i promijesajte. Procijedite to nazad u mlijeko, umijesajte mjesavinu sa jajima. Vratite na vatru i zagrijavajte dok se smjesa ne zgusne (nemojte prokuhati). Ohladite.
Umutite vrhnje i ubacite u hldanu smjesu zelenog caja. Dobro promijesajte. Prebacite u plasticnu posudu i smjestite u zamrzivac. Svako 15-20 minuta izvadite i promijesajte viljuskom (ili mikserom) kako biste razbili vece kristale sladoleda. Sladoled je gotov nakon 4-5 sati ili kad se dobro zaledi.

Tiramisu Ice Cream Torte


My son Vigor is 13!

Ingredients:
1 sponge cake, bought or made (4 eggs, 6 tbsp sugar, 4 tbsp flour, 1 tbsp corn flour; I added 1 tsp instant coffee), cut horizontally in 2
1 cup strong coffee with 3 tsp sugar
1L (4 cups) coffee ice cream
Chocolate and cocoa for decorating
Method:
Take ice cream out of fridge to soften. Prepare cake tin (sponge has to fit in it), cover with plastic foil.
Spoon/brush coffee over each 1/2 of sponge cake. Mix ice cream well, until you achieve spreadable texture. Place 1 sponge into tin, spread 1/2 of ice cream,place another sponge, press slightly, the spread the rest of ice cream on top. Put in freezer for 2 hours. Make chocolate decorations/ shavings - your choice.
When torte has hardened, dust with cocoa and place decorations on top.

Tiramisu Sladoled Torta

Potrebno:
1 biskvit za torte, kupljen ili napravljen (od 4 jaja, 6 kasika secera, 4 kasike brasna, 1 kasikom 'Gustina'; dodala sam 1 kasicicu instant kafe), prerezanu na pola
1 solja jake kafe, sa 3 kasicice secera
1L (4 solje) sladoleda od kafe
Cokolada i kakao za ukrasavanje
Nacin:
Izvadite sladoled iz zamrzivaca da omeksa. Pripremite obruc za torte u koji biskvit uklapa; oblozite folijom/celofanom.
Svaku polovicu biskvita prelijte (kasikom) sa kafom. Stavite 1 biskvit na dno kalupa, prerucite 1/2 sladoleda. Preko stavite drugi biskvit, malo pritisnite, pa onda i preostalu 1/2 sladoleda. Smjestite u zamrzivac na 2 sata. Pripremite vase cokoladne dekoracije, po vasem izboru.
Kada se torta stisnula, pospite kakao i ukrasite cokoladom.

Nutella, Maltesers and Vanilla Ice-Cream Torte



For my European followers/readers and all those who don't mind winter... when ice cream is in question!

Ingredients:
3/4 cup orange juice
1/3 cup caster sugar
1/4 cup hazelnut spread (Nutella)
125 gr sponge fingers, broken
2 litres vanilla ice-cream
165 g packet 'Maltesers'
1/4 cup hazelnut spread, extra
Raspberries and Maltesers, to decorate

Method:
Take ice-cream out of freezer.
Grease a 22cm spring form, line base with baking paper/foil.
Combine juice and sugar and boil for 1 minute. Whisk in hazelnut spread.
Place sponge fingers over prepared tin, pour orange syrup over, turn fingers until absorbed.
Mix ice-cream with Maltesers. Spread mixture over base with sponge fingers. Drop spoonfuls of extra hazelnut spread on top. Pull a skewer (or similar)trough to make a marbled effect. Freeze for a few hours (or overnight).
When ready, take out of spring form and decorate with raspberries and Maltesers.



Sladoled Torta

Sastojci:
3/4 solje soka narandze
1/3 solje secera
1/4 solje Nutele (ili slicno)
125 piskota (ili slicno)
2 litre sladoleda vanile
165 gr Maltesers (cokoladne loptice)
1/4 solje Nutele, dodatno
Maline i Maltesers za dekoraciju

Nacin:
Izvadite sladoled iz zamrzivaca.
Pripremite 22 cm kalup za tortu.
Sok narandze i secer prokuhajte, pa dodajte Nutelu. Promijesajte.
Izlomljene piskote pobacajte na kalup, prelijte ga sa sirupom. Okrenite nekoliko puta dok se sok ne apsorbira.
U omeksali sladoled umijesajte Maltesers (ili slicno). Prebacite ga u kalup.
Po povrsini prelijte Nutelu, zatim nozem ili duzom cackalicom pravite 'osmice' kako biste dobili efekt marbla.Zamrznite nekoliko sati.
Kada se steglo, prerucite iz kalupa i ukrasite malinama i Malteserima.
